Default Week off the gym plays on my mind

I don't know if this is just me but when I have a week off the gym. I feel depressed or more pissed off...I find as soon as a go back I feel much happier in myself.

Thoughts in this please

My gym time is "me time". If I don't get to do it then I definitely don't feel the same. I think that's the reason I like to lift alone. It's my version of meditation. I definitely get where you're coming from.

I've always liked tasks that force me to focus completely on one thing. That's how the gym is for me. The whole world is turned off and I'm 100% tuned in to what I'm doing.

I also like jigsaw puzzles, lol.

I hate weeks off and don' take them. I add in days off when I need them but never take weeks off.

Naw, if you want to be in the gym and you feel fine, go for it. If you're still motivated to train than you aren't overtrained anyways.

If you follow someone else's program for a period of time you might need more time off.

I follow my own program and have it structured so I don't punish myself. It's all about balancing volume, intensity and frequency to fit your body.
