Many of you may remember me from a while back. I used to spend way too much time on these boards, but here lately not nearly enough. For those of you that don't remember me, I'll give you a little background information on myself. I'm 25 years old and been lifting on and off since about 2006, which was when I joined the forum world. I've had some pretty impressive lifts in the last (for me anyway) and was in pretty decent shape at one point, but as of now I'm probably in the worst shape of my life.
I've developed a lot of medical problems that a 25 year old probably shouldn't have. I have been diagnosed with severe obstructive sleep apnea, level 2 hypertension, tachycardia and high cholesterol. Most of it comes from my bad eating habits. I don't smoke, drink or do drugs, but sometimes fast food and fried food can be just as bad and maybe worst.
Anyway, my life has gotten side tracked and I'm way too young to give up on my health, so I wanted to go back to where I felt the most motivated and that is on powerlifting/bodybuilding forums. I remember this board as having a lot of elite members that were very strong, dedicated and knowledgeable on the subject and this is where I want to be.
This is a great place to post, great place to learn and I hope to be back on the everyday posting board. I'm going to start a training journal and start lifting again this Saturday (I know, that's a weird day to start).
I'd have to say one of the biggest motivations for me to get back into lifting hard and strong is we just found out my wife is around 8-10 weeks pregnant with our 2nd child and I want to be the best parent I can possibly be and being strong and healthy is a big part of that. My goals? Lose weight, get strong and get in good physical condition.
