Default Advice on moving costs

Wanted to see if any of you have experience with relocation.

My company provides some help with relocation, but I need to tie down a house before I actually move and receive the relocation assistance. I am trying to figure out how to pay for the security deposit, first month's rent and Uhaul moving costs in the meantime.

I called my bank and they do not offer personal loans. They recommended a credit card. I have great credit but do not want to pay 18-25% interest on a move.

Do any banks offer personal loans for these types of services?

Any other suggestions?

I need to get the money quickly and am looking for options.

Are you able to get a line of credit? I have one and it is 3% above prime and is unsecured. I had a secured one before, which was at prime, but once I paid the house off it was deleted as well. A line of credit is revolving and is always available for any reason. I access mine through my bank machine or internet transfer. It is issued by the bank

Also, if you charge something to Visa, they do not charge interest if you pay it off by the next statement due date.

Didn't know you were moving. Out of state from Wisconsin? I noticed under your avatar it says "Louisiana"??

The bank I use which is a credit union offers personal loans around 8% based on credit score and length of loan so they are out there.

Squatter's advice is right on the mark.

Steve...how much are you talking? How long of a term are you looking for?

I got a credit card form my credit union...2.9% intro rate for like 8-9 months...plenty of time to pay it off!

The iron is there during my times of happiness, sadness and anger. The iron is there available through the 4 seasons and inclement weather. The iron is there to either comfort me or motivate me. The Iron manages to show me how strong I am or how humble I need to be. The iron does not yell, but it always demands respect. The iron is not a disciplinarian, but when disrespected, I feel it for a long time. The iron does not love or hate, but we definitely share a strong bond. And no matter how far I stay away or for how long, the iron is there, waiting to be lifted.

you say "house" but mention "rent," do you have to buy a house to get company assistance?
