Default Beauty and strength come in many shapes and sizes

Why it's just plain stupid to make fun of someone because they aren't exactly"bodybuilder-esque" or "powerlifter-esque"

There were some interesting comments below the article as well, from a sociological viewpoint as well as how we view people.

One of the people commenting may have had a bee in her bonnet but it may be related to whatever has occurred in her life, it's possible, but nevertheless, she brought up an interesting point when someone mentioned about Cheryl Hayworth (?) as being a possible champion pie eater (?) but turns out she was a weightlifter whereas they said nothing about the similarly proportioned male.

Sometimes, I also find these images helpful on another level, people looking for a set physique can also base it on a sport so instead of just purely training for the sake of training alone, they can get involved in a sport and still get the physique they're after

I interviewed Julie Wyman regarding her documentary on Cheryl Haworth.

http://www.muscleandstrength.com/art...ry-julie-wyman

People assume large folks eat like crap, but Julie had this to say:

Quote:
It was really interesting to me to see and get to know Cheryl’s diet, and see the way that she eats, and also to see what it is like for other weight lifters. I mean, Cheryl was really careful about not just what she ate, she is always eating kind of good quality meats without hormones, and lots of fresh produce, but also looking at things like food combining.
Cheryl ate for performance. She knew she would never be the "120 pound weightlifter." Many times to be successful, an athlete has to embrace what they were given, even if it's not the social norm.

Good points Babs, and I think that misogynist commenting stems from the "Hollywood" ideal feminine body being slender. It's sad to think that women feel so constrained to looking as thin as possible...There are plenty of beautiful women who are "overweight" and/or "muscular"

That's a huge point. Heck even my wife gets on me for weighing 330+. But I feel like I can perform better than I ever have here. And the comments you get when you're going to the gym instead of staying out drinking for work functions are even more funny. I'll be tired for meetings? Well I'll be tired and sore but able to focus. You'll be hung over and worthless lol
