This seems to be the case any time I've taken time off. Anybody else? Surely I'm not the only one.

Im the opposite, when Im training heavy I eat alot of fastfood, beers, icecream and so on. On rest periods, I restict the dirty cals some. I can get away with it when I lift and junkfood makes me strong as hell =)

Diet has always been as issue of mine, when I first started I went way overboard with counting cals and macros, I became OCD about it and my wife used to go nuts with me!
Now I know what I need eat in a day and I just eat food I enjoy to hit my targets so I never get bored with it, otherwise I'd eat chicken rice all week and then just binge all weekend, not really a good cycle.
I always wonder if I'm getting everything I need from my food aswell as I don't take vitamins or any supps, I like things to be as simple as possible.

I hope I don't have to hit a stage of "less active", so I hope to never find out.
I do stick to a "mostly good" diet all the time though, anyway. Real food, whole foods, a complete diet, etc. Plus two to three protien shakes (using whole milk) every day. Then I sometimes throw in a bit of junk food, but not too much.
And well, yeah, I do drink, every week and for special occasions.
edit: Oh, actually, I have had a bit of time off training here and there. I forgot. In those times, I pretty much ate the same foods, but didn't bother with protein shakes. That's all that changed.
