One of the ways I will be doing this is by opening up a "noob" section in the forum. The noob section will have stickies with links to basic topics...

"How do I gain weight?"

"What routines are best for a beginner?"

"What is proper deadlift form?"

I encourage everyone to contribute to the new forum. Start a new thread on any consistently asked noob question. We will link to this thread from a sticky at the top of this forum, so that common questions/answers are made readily available to noobs.

Any questions or thoughts?
Excellent idea - we were all noobs once. Heck I learn something new every once in a while reading all of these forums.

That's not fair - just joined here.

What about a topic of Gym Etiquette for the new people who workout? I find it time and time again, that people still do not re-rack the weights. I mean how hard is it to re-rack your weights? You just put them on the bar, now take them off. Or, don't text message while at the gym, your there to workout. Or what about using the squat rack to do curls? Maybe I'm ranting but I'm sure some don't know better or worse.

While Gym Etiquette may seem like a good idea to go through, and is going to inspire me to write a funny article, I am sure most gyms don't approve of chalk and screaming...hmmm interesting topic.

My YMCA is pretty hardcore also, they left a small room of just barbells dumbells and benches. That is pretty much where anyone goes if they want to scream or get hardcore.

The other room is for the cardio and machines, I get nervous out there, too pretty. I prefer darker, dirtier places.

That's a pretty smart idea. My old gym was setup with everything in view. So when you were squatting, you could see and hear the aerobics classes...and they could see and hear you. I tried not to overdo the noise when squatting, but sometimes it just happened.

Always a good time! Just another reason to go to the gym.

Can you put in the code to make it easy to link MAB to Facebook, MySpace, etc. pages.

Might pick-up a few people that way.
