I am Jeremy aka jwood, I am pretty serious about lifting and I am currently trying to make my way into the powerlifting world. I was a misinformed youth that stuck to bodybuilding programs for a while because I did not know any better.

I am going into my senior year of college at the University of Mary Washington where I am studying business and also play rugby. I am a huge fan of MAB's website and I am here to learn, so teach! Thanks guys

Default BWYS official Intro

Hey Guys and Gals,
I get so caught up in the training logs, that I forget about the rest of the forum sometimes. I never formally introduced myself, so maybe you will want to peak at my training log more once you find out a little about me.

29 Years Old(not 30 yet)
5' 11.75"(used to consider myself 6', but I think the heavy squatting is holding me back
240 right now, usually range from 230-245
BS in Kinesiology
CSCS Certified
Westside Barbell Certified

I am a personal trainer/studio manager. I do 1-on-1 private, 30 minute sessions.
Efficient Exercise is the company, and we have a website www.efficientexercise.com, a twitter Eexercise, and youtube.

My Personal youtube is BWYS61

I played Middle Linebacker for Virginia State University in 2001

Graduated from Texas A&M University-Commerce 2002

I have coached high school football, powerlifting and various other sports until 2008. Thats when I began training with EE.

I have trained several successful powerlifters including a 2-time State Champion, and another who was State Champion and USAPL National Champion.

I have been training for over 15 years, but I feel that the most progress has been made in the last year and a half. If I had been taught correctly, pre-college, I may have gotten in more than one official season in.

My goals are to begin powerlifting competitions this fall.

Any questions? Please don't hesitate

Great intro bwys61...we are honored to have you here. Please feel free to give us your slant on training in any form. Your insight is invaluable.

Anytime you want to rant/ramble, inform, or just give tips, we would love to hear what you have to say.

What are your long term powerlifting goals?

I feel the same way as MAB. I lurk on the forum a bit, but don't post much, and I wish you and Brawny would post more about training. You guys seem to know your stuff.

Anyway, great intro bro!

Any thoughts of getting back into coaching?

I will not get back into coaching at the high school level, but have toyed with the idea of hitting the college ranks. I have the credentials and experience to jump into there.

I caught the powerlifting bug about 4 years ago when I was the strength and conditioning coach for the entire high school athletic program. At that time I was appointed head Powerlifting coach as well. IT caught on from there.

Long Term Goals
800-600-650

You'll hit your goals. I hope sooner then later. A 2 grand total would be a great feat.

2000 is a great goal. I feel like I would hit 650/400/535=1685 if I were to compete today
