Default Bud Jeffries on Internet Tough Guys

Bud talking about lifting and internet tough guys:

Quote:
Enlightened Barbarianism-Looking and acting tough, being a fake internet uber tough guy isn't the point of these posts or manliness in general. Being a man is, and realizing that a full, real life is just as steeped in primal passion as developed intellectualism. Life is boring, hollow and fabricated without both. None of that comes with how you look or in being "cool" or in anyone else's idea of life.

I read somewhere certain Asian cultures compete again one another to see who has the best appearance as they grow older. That has nothing to do with ego or being shallow. Imo the association to fat being ugly is because its a sign of bad health. Seriously, come on, people who eat well and take care of themselves have a beautiful radiant glow. Maybe the US should quit psychoanalyzing so much and justifying why its better to be lardasses and looking 20 years over their actual ages.
