I've spent some time studying "abnormal things," if you will. This is very interesting.

Feel free to jump in and share any abnormal things you may have experience or are concerned about.

This might not go over well. I love lifting, but talking about it indepth sometimes gets old

For the record powerlifting is one of my true passions. That will never fade

Think about this.

Take an Ohio class nuclear sub, and go back in time and give the boat to Columbus. We are talking about a time span of about 500 years. There is almost nothing on that boat that would be of use to them. A fiberglass galley tray to carry food would be a technological marvel to them, and we use it as a throwaway item. Sure, they would recognize forks and spoons, and a few items but for the most part the technology is so far beyond them they would have no idea where to start.

If you took that boat and gave it to the Navy of the 1940's they would have a far better idea of what to do, but would still be lost with a huge amount of the technology. That is only 60 years behind us.

An alien race that is thousands or a million years more advanced than we are. We would be no better than Columbus looking at the nuclear sub, and probably be in even worse shape to figure stuff out. Look at how everyday technology has changed in the just the last 20 years, or even 10.
This, I do understand

next is this,

We will be talking about the power turbine section, which is behind the hot section. These turbine wheels are called N1, and N2. These labels refer to whether the wheels are connected to the front compressor section or are power generation wheels.

A typical number for a jet engine is that about 70% of the air is used for cooling the engine and is bypassed from power generation, of the ramaining 30% most is used to power the compressor, and then power generation.

There lots of tiny airholes all through the engine where air passes to cool the engine internals.

Jet fuel must be clean, very clean so to prevent buildup of crud in the engine that would block the air cooling.

Jet fuel is filtered every time it moves through any fuel line. I'll try to find the micron numbers for some of the filters a bit later, but very little in the way of any solid particles are allowed in fuel.

Will get with more later.
