When you tell a normal person that you are going to go pick up a 300 pound rock, they look at you in a similar way. They think we have deep seated issues and have to do this to feel good about ourselves. That we feel inferior to everyone else in some way. For some this may be true, but many of us are just passionate about the sport, and do realize you have to be a little crazy to want to put 800 pounds on your back.

Before we say something as harsh as another human being needs to be committed and forced into nightmare conditions, lets take step back and really think if we are qualified to make that choice.

Dude, I was just kidding. I don't think he really needs to be put in a mental institution, medication maybe.

Also, my blood brother is a computer guy. And yes they are quite important. But the first and last thing these people need IS a large dose of reality, so that they can learn to be comfortable around others. I don't think sitting behind a video game in a cave becoming more of a hermit is the answer.

We don't know each other, so next time I'll make sure to use a smiley, before

Edit:
For the record, there aren't many people at all that act the way this gentleman did, in front of a camera or not. Not a Doc but he's actually showing signs of manic behavior, I'd definitely keep an eye on this kid.

Double Edit:
It's no doubt I received this lashing do to one of my previous posts

No, of course not.

Ah, being new and not knowing anyone I wasn't sure.

After thinking a little more about this I was wrong in saying he should be committed (even though I did not mean it). I don't think anyone one should be incarcerated anywhere for any reason, unless they are a physical threat to others.

However, after more consideration, and having experience with manic depressive people, I do think this young man shows signs of needing counceling, or an evaluation from a professional, at least.
