The simple answer is...
If it fits into your daily macros and calorie count, and you must have it, then have at it!

But...
A steak and potato may have similar calories and give you more bang for the buck.

seems to me they provide a ton of calories and are easy to eat a lot of. granted, most those calories are sugar and carbs, they're calories nonetheless. for bulking purposes in a dave-tate-powerlifting sense as opposed to bodybuilding and clean calories, of course.

I know a lot of bodybuilders that use Pop-tarts post-workout with whey. I probably would too if I were still bulking.

I am an 80%-er. Eat most of your calories using healthy foods and allow some wiggle room for life and fun. Unless you're a pro bodybuilder, eating clean 100% of the time is for the birds.

Back when I was fat I ate pop-tarts all the time.

So there you go.

(not saying they'll make you fat, rather that they have lots of cals. Combine them with a protein source and have at it.)

When I was 18 I could eat all day and not get fat. Now that I am older I only get so many calories per day so I try to maximize the nutrition.
