A few things:

1.) I am still below these averages. This simply will not do.

2.) While that is the Average for that USAPL meet..... I want to get closer to the Biggest Lifts at that meet. LOL

Men's Biggest Lifts

Squat - 272.5 kg (600.8 lbs)
Bench - 205 kg (451.9 lbs)
Deadlift - 310 kg (683.4 lbs)

Total - 730 kg (1609.4 lbs)

Okay, so you have two options:

1) Go, even if you won't be the strongest lifter there: and be able to learn something about the pressure of listening out for commands at the right time, making depth, holding the paused barbell for the required time etc, and come out ready for your lifts having paced your warm-ups correctly etc.

OR...

2) Don't go until you have the strongest possible lift to compete (at what you consider is their level): turn up, not be used to the pressure, not judge the warm-up lifts correctly and possibly bomb out...even though, you could easily outlift them.

Option 1 permits you a learning experience whether you're lifting less or not; you know, sometimes people go because they want to and because they enjoy it not because they have to be number 1.
