OKC Thunder cheerleader Kelsey Williams controversy: Blog asks if she is 'too chunky' |

CBS Houston blogger: Is this NBA cheerleader ?too chunky??* - NY Daily News

A blogger for a CBS station in Houston has created an online controversy after questioning whether OKC Thunder cheerleader Kelsey Williams is "too chunky" to cheer in the NBA.

The question has people sounding off on social media from coast to coast. The blog even asked people to vote.

Williams has been a cheerleader for the Thunder for three years. In her online bio, Williams says she loves the community events she gets to participate in, especially the ones helping children.

She responded to the criticism with a tweet.

"We wouldn't know what blessings were if we didn't go through trials," she said. "Thank you to everyone for the compassion and love today. I'm in awe."

The blogger for the CBS station in Houston is a woman named Anna-Megan Raley. Her blog can no longer be found on the website.

Too chunky!? How much skin and bone do some people want to see on females? She's hardly chunky...IMO.

She's actually a little thin for my liking.

What a lard butt! She wouldn't be so heavy if she had stuck to her diet of 2.5 baby carrots a day:rolleyes:
Reminds me of when some dipsh!t was saying Kate Upton was fat....

The really astonishing part was the blogger was female, or under the guise of a female name at least; maybe sour grapes that she didn't make the cheerleading squad? You never know...

I should throw on a cheerleading outfit and send her a pic ;)

too much time on your hands + not focusing on your own life + negative attitude = unnecessary criticism of others

As much as the enormously (lol) popular extreme backlash following on from that "scrawny girls R da shiznit" phase... irritates the **** out of me quite regularly, be it on Facebook or TV (pro-fat-people crap)...

That is absolutely ridiculous. She could even do s'more :chow: and be totally fine (as in, quite pretty).

I mean, it's hard for women to have a decent butt, without eating sufficiently, including enough fats and oils, or alternatively, squatting like there's no tomorrow. Or, y'know, both. :D

IMO, YMMV, etc., etc.
