I should open a CrossFit gym

People pay 200-400 bucks a month for an empty room. Now that's a good business model.

You could do a TRX gym, minimal equipment, trendy, and still has that open air feeling.

Probably, the most expensive part is the cross-fit certification. But like you said...couple mats, couple ropes, a half decent sound system, don't forget the mirrors and you are set for success...LoL!!!

Yes, they have couple diffrent crossfit level. Level 1 Certificate Courses, CrossFit Competitor's Course, CrossFit Coach's Prep Course, CrossFit Kids Courses and some more stuff. Usually cost a lot of money too. Ck this link for info in the test. But again...I LOVE MY IRON DUNGEON...Crossfit is not for me.

While a lot of people that join the crossfit community are lead in the wrong direction by mismanaged gym's and trainers that aren't reputable, you will have this in every community. I know crossfit, like powerlifting or bodybuilding isn't for everyone, but it has its place. I believe in trying something before judging it ... plus most people don't see that CrossFit, when done right, leads to stuff like this:

Kevin Simons - 275# Snatch on Vimeo

Chad MacKay - 275# Snatch (10# PR) on Vimeo

17yo Madi Mansberger - 155# Snatch and 175# Clean & Jerk on Vimeo
