Default Almost hit

Drove to work today and it was bad out. No lines on the road to be seen. Well got about 1/4 of the way there and some guy in a pick up almost hit me. Needless to say I am now back at home safe. Clutched the steering wheel the rest of the way home as I was so worked up. Heart was pounding 90 miles an hour. Glad to be home safe, no work for me today. It is suppose to snow all day anyway, up to 11 inches, so it is a good excuse to take for a snow day.

People can't drive for s@it in a normal day...imagine when you add the snow or rain factor. Here the close the whole base if we receive more than 2 inches of snow...WTF!!!

I get to drive in the capital city of afghanistan. We have close calls like that pretty much continuously. They don't even stick with the correct direction of travel sometimes. Car will be coming down the middle lane of a three lane, going the wrong way, at 50kph.

Personal tips that I've learned along my still short journey:

Leave your ego at the door.
Prepare. Showing up dehydrated, hungry, and tired will guarantee failure.
Be ready to fight for that grinder of a PR.
Listen and learn. Absorb everything you can, and assimilate that knowledge.

Top Gym lifts:
Squat: 415lbs
Deads: 440lbs
Bench: 315lbs

In my country, driving is the most stressful thing you can do.
