Default Out-of-shape...beware the dance floor...

A British man died after trying to dance Gangham style at a Christmas party on Saturday, according to Britain's The Daily Telegraph, prompting a cardiologist to advise middle-aged men to "let the lady dance around you" this holiday season.

Gawker put it less delicately, addressing "out-of-shape guys" with admonitions of moderation. Stay away from the "cardiac-intensive dance moves and stick to the easy stuff."

Warning: Gangham-style dance exertion can (and did) kill a man | Alaska Dispatch

I was a bit confused about the part of "let the lady dance aorund you", after all, she's more than likely just as out-of-shape (possibly), if they went as a couple. People forget that any exertion, in the form of say, dancing, working, sprinting for the bus, all come under the banner of exercise, and then they end up overdoing it without realising why they shouldn't be going at things so hard because dancing is seen as non-exercise and a fun activity, in general.

I think this calls for a complete ban on Gangham style!

I'd never heard of it, and still don't fully understand what it is.

I did it at a Halloween party. Yes it does keep the blood flowing. It is a very face paced dance.
