Exclamation Personal Trainers turning into???

Since I have been at good life, I have only met 3 PTs I respect. This is because they are the only ones who actually work out and compete in BB. I have been getting a vibe that most of the trainers at a Commercial gym are just there to make a quick buck.

You mean you want to be a personal trainer and wonder how to go about it or you're wondering what personal trainers are these days?

Gym trainers, IMO, are not personal trainers per se; we have a fitness centre here and they have trained staff who write up (or provide) program, dietary advice and the like but I certainly wouldn't consider their certification to be much above basic gym essential protocol etc and knowing what each machine does and such. Having seen their certification, it's just basic stuff; I probably know more than they do.

But, with personal trainers, you have to remember they may not all be out for bodybuilding, let's say Steve was a PT, his forte would be powerlifting, for example; find one that suits your goals, and that goes for everyone looking for a PT.

That's what they're like here, to my knowledge they don't lift but would love nothing more than for people to pay for routines and dietary info. I chose not to pay for either and just used the barbell
