diet, thus slowing down your metabolism. At 6?2 and 215 lbs 2,000 calories is baseline of what you might be needing, now add on top of that your energy requirements for your workouts and you can see that 2,000 calories is not enough.
Personally I eat roughly 1500-2000 calories a day over 5-6 meals, cardio 3-4 times a week from 30-60mins.

That sounds awful little. I'm cutting right now at 5'9" 182 lbs eating about 2000 kcal a day (guesstimation).

Agree with Mohiz! I'm 6'2, 220 and just lowered my cals a little, to lose a little fat, but I'm not worried about it. I eat 2700-3000 a day with no cardio, except with the wife every few days. 2000 is on the low end for cutting and 1500 for a guy your size is drastic and close to starvation. Considering you need about 800 cals for protein alone, that leaves you with 700-1200 for fat and carbs, which isn't much

Yes. I agree, you are eating ?TOO LITTLE? calories.
To become big and awesome, I would reccomend you to add 3500 daily cals to your diet.

I started at about 900 calories, no joke, at 5'7 126lb. When I started being active, not weights i just went to arbitrary 2200 and slowly gained. Then I started weights and added slowly and have stabilized at 3100 for a month or so, so now im at 3200 at around 163. So everything's highly individual, I just think anyone concerned with getting bigger stronger without getting fatter should monitor calories and adjust.
The thing is your intake seems low and you havnt said if you simplest way is to add calories until you gain a little weight, the amount depends on how much muscle you have already put on. Add a little each week about 200 after your initial big add on.

Unfortunately, everyone is different. I just did a cut and even at 6' and 200+ lb I had to dip below 2k calories to lose anything. This is with lots of intense lifting, but no cardio. I can't do cardio because of a foot injury.

I eat betweem 3300 and 3800 cal a day
The only cardio I do is lift weights faster
Best Gym Lifts...Dosen't matter....they don't count!
Best Meet Lifts:
Squat = 325
Bench = 209
Dead = 368
Total = 902

The iron is not a disciplinarian, but when disrespected, I feel it for a long time. The iron does not love or hate, but we definitely share a strong bond. And no matter how far I stay away or for how long, the iron is there, waiting to be lifted.
