My thoughts have always been this: testosterone and genetics drives the "limits" bus. A natural can't stretch himself into becoming Arnold, and a pro can't stretch himself into becoming Jay Cutler.

Genetics + testosterone + hard work = reaching "your" limits.

If someone wants to believe they can stretch themselves into faster muscle gains, by all means, have at it. I'm not saying it doesn't work, but I do know that it isn't needed.
