Full body is my 2nd routine, and a close 2nd that is. I do prefer a split, but I like to switch it up.
And I say for a beginner, fullbody is perfect as it will build a good solid base. This stuff takes time.. If you eat right and avoid overtraining, you'll be fine, IMO.
