How do you measure strength? Let's say you're 175 lbs ( and a fairly new lifter ), is it fair to assume you should be at least benching your own bodyweight? So what if you're 220? The same rule applies? Does it pertain to squating / overhead presses / deadlifting?
I'm kinda new to this and I'm not throwing around any impressive weight ( at least compared to what I read here ) but am putting in max-effort on every training session. Got diet and intensity in check. So if you never achieve to move mammoth weights does that make your training wrong? Maybe I'm not understanding the how's/why's/when's of progression.
