That's more like my style. For squats, I am usually warmup like this:
(Buffalo bar weighs 55)

Bar x 5
145 x 5
145 x 5
235 x 3
285 x 1
325 x 1
365 x 1

When I was doing 405 ala Hepburn, the first few sets were tough but the last 6 became easier as my CNS got in line with the demands.
