Best "plan" I had for a recomp was carb/calorie cycling. It is difficult to gain muscle/lose fat unless you're on gear though, and for the guys/girls who manage to do it, it takes a very long time, and it's a slow process, since you won't be eating much over maintenance at all. It is possible, but unless you know your body really well it might not work out as well as you want it.
