When bulking if someone gains 25 pounds but, has a good weight lifting routine and also only eats junk foods (mc donalds,burger king) when necessary a good bit of this could be muscle. What happens is before a workout the best food is not mc donalds usually something with good proteins is needed because during the workout the body feeds on these nutrients to keep a steady pace.
