Like someone posted before me on this thread, i have been using gloves not because of the protection but because my hands are really really sweaty. Im a member of a "housewife gym", and that means chalk is out, because they want to keep it clean and sterile like. It also means growling and dropping heavy weights is a nono so i might change gym sooner rather than later tbh.. but i digress.
Lately ive been thinking that my sweaty palms only really bother me on pull movements like barbell rows and deadlifts. And for those movements ive been considering getting a pair of straps instead. In the long run, they will serve me much better than gloves ever could, for better grip.
