I find chicken wings and beef mince (aka ground beef) are always dirt cheap, and good choices when we want to save a bit of cash. Sometimes whole chickens likewise.

We try to save money here and there, to the extent that, even though we eat more food these days (well mostly, *I* do ), it seems that we don't actually spend any more on it. Mind you, that's not counting the supplement I buy (whey protein concentrate), but that's just for my use.
