Protein is a macro nutrient in food, as is fat. While a protein source, like a nice ribeye, can have a ton of savory, satiating, great tasting fat, the protein itself can not contain any fat. Protein is protein and fat is fat. A gram of protein is 100% protein and a gram of fat is 100% fat. Your choice of protein sources can contain fat, ie the steak, as well as your choice of fats contain protein, ie steak, but when broken down into their macro nutrients, each stands on its own.
This idiotic statement invalidated the rest of his argument. The rest of the anti fat lobby was political gobldy gook from the anti fat crusaders who have only helped to wreck the American diet.
