Good idea to keep resistance at a moderate level to work on the form - 1 cue at a time. Think of the cues, such as spreading the floor with knees, tightness, etc, after you unrack. Do not think of the weight at this point.

Glad you are getting some squatting shoes! Which ones did you or are you ordering? Proper footwear is so often overlooked, especially in commercial gyms.
