To much the same extent that the PS4 is, sure.

They're *both* using AMD x86-64 cores and GPUs to match.

It's only the memory architecture in the PS4 that is a bit unusual, though not necessarily better for all purposes (this remains to be seen).


Yeah, I would only buy a Steambox *if* I wanted a console to begin with - I should've clarified. I'm much more a PC gamer than any other kind, and always have been.
