10/19/13- Leg day- Hit another work set PR in the gym today. I have been starting my work sets at 315 and moving up by 5lbs each set. Today I thought, "What the hell?", and decided to move up by 10lbs a set. It involved a little dizziness and I almost puked, but I pulled it off!
Squats- I did one less warmup set than usual to try and save some energy for my work sets. In hindsight I think this was a mistake. when I got to my first set at 315, I felt like I wasn't warmed up enough. I also waited until I got to the gym to take my pre-workout (a recommendation by Cutty) I originally thought this was a mistake because my warmups felt UNBELIEVABLY HEAVY. My pre-workout started kicking in right before my first work set, so it was just about perfect. Props to Cutty.
Deadlifts- my deadlifts still SUCK! There are literally 12 year old girls on youtube deadlifting more than me. I think I am just a little too impatient here. I kinda figured a decent squat would translate into a decent deadlift but, NO BANANAS! I also progressed my weight too fast on these. I think I am going to stick to 225 for a while to work on my form and get used to deadlifting.
