High bar/Sumo here.
Started off lifting with sumo my first year of high school, never budged more than 365 or so before switching to conventional. Ended up hitting ~520 conventional at my highest, before injury setbacks.
After getting back into strength game this past summer I could high bar squat 425x1 but my conventional was stuck at 430x2. Switched to sumo the next week and pulled 500.
