I second getting a less hardcore wrap and experimenting with it. I love using wraps just because they straight up let me lift more weight. I don't have any knee pain either, never have, but when I really want to move some weight I put them on and go to town.

That being said, I'm at a point in my training where my goal is developing size in my legs instead of moving as much weight as possible, so I rarely use wraps anymore, and never use my more hardcore Titan THP's.
