How do you like front squats?
Squatter, I use "JEFIT" app for my phone to track my workouts...
For each exercise the app figures the 1RM for that exercise.
So for example, on the Front Squats "206.67" is the 1RM today.
The cool thing is not only can I use that as a guide for progress, but I can choose to beat that prior to performing the work...

I've had my right shoulder repaired in 2009; my left has crap mobility so I cannot get my hand back far enough to help support the bar... so...
I use Front Squats a lot + I've used a "safety squat" bar as well...

Thanks for asking!
