NO CARB PIZZA
Pizza is an american favorite that gets cast aside when following a very strict diet.... Anyone who has competed in bodybuilding knows how bad cravings can get when certain foods are restricted for long periods. Cravings can lead to creativity in the kitchen which inspired this no carb pizza!
Please note, if you are following a strict diet, this will be magical! If you're someone who goes out and eats the real thing all the time, you may find it a little "soft" for your taste.
Ingredients for Crust:
2/3 C Liquid Egg Whites
3 TBS Unflavored Pea Protein
1 TBS Garlic Powder
1 TBS Mrs. Dash Original Herb
1/4 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Pepper
Ingredients for Topping:
3 TBS Crushed Tomatoes
1 TBS Grated Cheese
1 tsp Mrs. Dash Original Herb
1 tsp Crushed Red Pepper (if desired)
Mix all of the crust ingredients in a shaker cup. Cook in a nonstick skillet like a pancake. Cook until the edges start to lift up and the center is just about cooked. Flip and cook the other side. Remove from pan and top with crushed tomatoes, grated cheese and herbs. If desired, place pizza on a wire rack in a 350 degree oven for a few minutes to crisp bottom.
(Note: if you would like the crust to be firm, add a 1-2 TBS of almond flour or rice flour, however, that will add a few carbs.)
Yield: 1 pizza (130 cal, 1g fat, 1g carb, 29g protein, 1g fiber)
