Yeah it is allot your right, I'm trying to ease myself it it.
The idea is I add a considerable amount weight each time, and drop reps as I go along.
You have a point though actually. I'm likely not going as low as I can, because I'm kind of scared I'll get stuck at the bottom.
Getting some saw horses soon though to go below the stands so that should solve it.
