Brief Shout Out to my Dad's
My father died when I was 6 (I am 50 now) I have a few memories about him, but have heard hundreds of stories about him from my 5 older brothers, and 2 older sisters,to the point I feel like I knew him well. A great man he was.
My step father married my mom, and took on her 9 kids (he had none) He was also a great man, and I called him "Dad" for the rest of his life. He died over 20 years ago.
But I think of the 2 of them often. Some people grow up never knowing who their father is. I had the great fortune of having 2 Outstanding fathers, and on a day like today, I think to myself that I just hope one day my kids think back on me with the same respect, love, admiration, and great memories I have on both these men.
Happy Fathers Days Ted and Rob...I miss you both!

The iron is there during my times of happiness, sadness and anger. The iron is there available through the 4 seasons and inclement weather. The iron is there to either comfort me or motivate me. The Iron manages to show me how strong I am or how humble I need to be. The iron does not yell, but it always demands respect. The iron is not a disciplinarian, but when disrespected, I feel it for a long time. The iron does not love or hate, but we definitely share a strong bond. And no matter how far I stay away or for how long, the iron is there, waiting to be lifted.
