They give a little of what they have to running, a little to Olympic lifting, a little to gymnastics movements, and a little to strength training.
But that's the whole point of cross
fit, so why is that a problem? To my knowledge, the entire point of crossfit is to be fit across the board not to necessarily excel at any one thing; puking aside, and taking in to account that they probably don't all puke, and the fact that ordinary gym lifters puke too without doing crossfit...we see the same mentalities there, with the "no pain, no gain" rubbish which still does the rounds.
They choose crossfit because they get out of it what they want, it suits their goals, it doesn't have to suit your goals, which is why you do what you do and they don't.
