Agreed. I've heard some great things about paused reps. It helps the chest stretch out and also keeps the back tight. That's a lot of my problem - keeping the back tight and shoulders tucked. I'm also focusing on exploding too. I'm doing some speed work with an empty bar right now, and trying to capture the feeling of blasting it off my chest. Gradually I'm going to add weight, but still try to keep the feeling of exploding the empty bar.
