What made it click for me was thinking about standing overhead presses -- when you use your legs (and I know you're not supposed to), you throw it up easier. I was thinking about that, then I pushed my legs down during the bench and threw the bar up easier...... I know it sounds stupid -- like DUH JEN -- but it was like the clouds parted and the birds sand, haha!
