HIT workouts and full body
Been a while since I posted. Hope everyone is doing well. I have a question about HIT training, and no I am not a HIT Jedi.
The question is, did HIT become an industry joke because it was full body, because of the "it's the only way" talk, or a combination of both?
Now my story. Full body workouts are making a comeback. I tried one for several months and slowly started to make some changes. Because of work and time constraints I moved to only 2 sets per exercise per day. I used this for about a month and liked it.
Long story short my work demands changed and I was on the road 2-3 times per week. I reduced exercises to 1-2 sets on compound lifts and one set on everything else. I was doing this 2-3 times a week, when possible.
In my thinking I was using a full body workout with less volume. Well this week I went on vacation, started reading, and realized I had been more or less doing HIT workouts.
Prior to this week it had never dawned on me that HIT and full body workouts were on the same tree.
