very good point - Kiefer recommends going overboard then dialing back as necessary but it seems as though most people on the DH forum the exact opposite - start conservatively and increasing accordingly.
FWIF I've found the workout volume plays a large role in carb intake. I think one of the main reasons I've been getting away w/ 2-3x bw in carbs is due to my high volume workouts (200-300 "working reps")
