I am trying to improve my deadlift form - ie - arching my upper back. I think i have it figured out. If I put my head down so that I am almost looking thru my legs, and then lean back as I tighten up, and continue to look down as I lift - I feel my legs involved more, and then as I near lockout, I feel my upper back involved more. I think it's more obvious on the 315X10 set. I felt way more powerful doing it this way. It just might be my golden ticket to a 500 pull.
Squats after deads felt downright amazing. Loved it!
