Cleaning up the diet is a royal pain in the arse so take it a step at a time. And yeah, learning to cook is about the best thing you can do. I used to love me some takeaway food, especially in college but it's way too easy to gain fatty weight. Best of luck with it and don't go too fast, I did that and it caused my strength to plummet.
