Question Carb cycling?

When I asked a question about calories and how many I should consume each day.
Some of you suggested what I now know is called carb cycling.
Have high carbs on workout days, and less on rest days.
So I think I'm going to go for it.

I can't find much information on this, but I was wondering what the benefits actually are for eating the same amount of calories, everyday is?
Will you build more muscle eating above maintenance everyday, as apposed to only eating more carbs on your workout days?
