The narrows, are too narrow. Just under shoulder width, dont have to be that close.
For the standard squats:
January & February while I was training with USAPL lifters, I was squatting down to a box. That box helpped a lot. At this gym, there was no means of recreating that. With out someone or something there LIVE telling me that I hit depth, I almost never do.
At about the 5th or 6th set, I needed to slow down and take longer breaks. I even had to do my best of releaseing the blood/tension in the lower back as it was starting hurt and both me.
For the narrow squats:
I thought that the legs (feet) needed to be under the hip socket much like with a conventional deadlift. Bear in mine that I was beign taught by USAPL lifters. You will also notice that I have 2 2.5# plates under my heels. I learned that when I get narrow, I can't keep my heels on the ground. I learned from teh USAPL lifters that for narrows it is ok to do this.
