Week 5 Speed Deadlifts

Foam roller
Stretch

Deadlifts from floor
70kgs x 5
Add Metal King Deadlifter straps down
120kgs x 3
Straps up and belt on
160kgs for 6 sets of 2
180kgs x 1
200kgs for 2 singles
220kgs for 2 singles

Singles were way harder than I had hoped.

Snatch Grip Deadlifts from blocks
100kgs for 3 sets of 12

Had to work very hard to keep lower back arched and keep good form.

Barbell shrugs with a looooong hold at the top
100kgs for 2 sets of 10 bodybuilder reps

Supersetted with
Lat high row
80kgs x 10
100kgs x 10

Back raises
50 reps in 3 sets

Awful deadlift session. I thought it would be best to work up after speed sets, maybe I was wrong. Maybe I need more practice in my suit. My suit was loose after my stomach bug on Monday but a wash should tighten it. Maybe I need to pull raw and forget the suit. Maybe I will compete in squat and bench only Video is below. All comments welcome. I'll edit it to add commentary when I have calmed down later in the week.


Hope to make amends with bench on Friday.
