You'll get good insight on this site...

lots of guys find their comp lifts are under their gym lifts...lots of reasons...equipment, comfort zone, nerves....could be anything....many track gym lifts and comp lifts (as separate things)...

sounds like competition will be highly motivating for you! go get some!
