Looks like you found a good set up. You are also going about it the right way. listen, take it all in, and work! I trained for 8 years or so with someone else determining all my workouts before I started to do it on my own. It was a learning experience that I wouldn't change. I still let him call my weights for the most part, as he will push me to my limit on most occasions.
