Saturday Strongman Training
Serious session today, yesterday I did just a few sprints and loosened up. This morning, things got intense. All of my training is going well, except really for my deadlifts. But as long as everything else keeps going up, I am happy. It was extremely cold today with about 25 mph winds, just a brutal day. But I put on some extra layers and killed it!

Log Clean and Press

Farmers Walk
160 each hand x 2 x 50 ft

-time was somewhere between 20 and 22 seconds (had my dad timing on my phone, and he is not very good with technology, haha)
-This was awesome, much faster than I thought!!

This is a very awkward height for me, but this is what I will have to do in competition. I will probably go pretty conservative on this event.

Tire Simulation with Keg
Full keg x 12 singles
-only took about 15 seconds rest between these, almost one big set. Really tough to get a grip on the keg with so many layers on.

Awesome session today, I am hurting now. Everything is tightening up, but very happy with this. Still looking to do a competition at the beginning of March, I hope I am ready. I just have no idea how I will stack up to my competition.

The only event I am worried about is the stones, I just do want to make sure I can hit a rep or two. I will find somewhere to train stones at least a couple times. Might have to make a trip down to iron sport or something. I am obsessed with strongman!!
