I agree that a belt would have been nice for the dead challenge. I've never used one for anything but I think the tightness on my lower back would have been a nice aid. I used straps though. Not hat I couldn't have gone without, but my bar is just a regular bar and the grip is slick, plus my max was strapped so....
Anyhow on to today...
Great workout! Is your neck sore from the deads? Think you need to invest in some workout pants or at least sweatpants
